hey so been having this issue for like 3 days now. when i try to attach photos to a checklist on the android app they just... don't attach? like i select the photo, hit done, and nothing shows up in the checklist. sometimes it says "uploading" forever and then just disappears.
tried on my galaxy s21 and also a coworker's pixel 7, same thing. both running latest app version (3.2.1 i think). works fine on iOS for some reason though so definitely android specific.
anyone else dealing with this? kinda annoying since we need photos for safety compliance stuff lol
oh man yeah me too. thought it was just my old phone but same thing on my new one. idk whats going on tbh. the spinner just spins forever and then nada
Pro tip: this is a known issue with the current Android build. Been seeing it across a few teams.
Workaround that works for my crew: use the **Add Photo** button directly from the work order screen instead of inside the checklist itself. Photos attach to the job, not the checklist response, but they're still there for compliance review.
Not ideal but keeps you moving until they patch it.
Hi Sam! Happy to help — and yes, we're aware of this one.
This is a confirmed bug in Android app version **3.2.1** affecting photo uploads within checklist forms. The team is targeting a fix in **3.2.3** (expected early next week).
In the meantime, Josh's workaround above is solid. You can also reference our troubleshooting doc for this specific issue which includes a couple other temporary options.
I'll update this thread once the patch is live. Thanks for flagging it!
Art, totally fair — I hear you on the barcode fix. This one's actually in QA already per the eng team, so fingers crossed. I'll be the first to call them out if it slips though
so basically what i did was i just took the photos in my regular camera app and then attached them later when i got back to the office on wifi and that worked? not sure if thats helpful but yeah basically the phone camera works fine its just the in-app thing thats busted
