Attach PDF to work order — size limits?

Question

Need to attach spec sheets and permits to work orders. What's the actual file size limit? And is there a monthly upload cap or anything I need to know about before I tell my team to start dumping everything in there.

Also does the file type matter or is PDF the only thing that works reliably? We've got some DWG files from the engineers too.

File size limit: 25MB per attachment. There isn't a strict monthly upload cap, but we do monitor for abuse on very high-volume accounts.

Supported file types: PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, JPG, PNG, and yes — DWG files are supported too.

To attach a file: 
 
 Open the work order 
 Click Attachments in the right sidebar 
 Drag and drop or click Upload File

Files are stored encrypted and included in PDF exports of the work order. Let me know if you hit any issues!

Pro tip: if your PDFs are coming in over 25MB, it's usually because someone exported CAD drawings at print-quality resolution. Drop the DPI to 150 or run them through a PDF compressor first. Your techs' phones will thank you when they're pulling these up on cellular.

Also — DWG files work fine in the web app but they won't preview on mobile. They just download. Not a huge deal but worth knowing if your field techs need to reference them.
