How long did your FieldPulse rollout take? What slowed you down?

We're about three months into our FieldPulse implementation, and while the team is starting to settle in, I keep thinking about how the timeline compared to what we originally planned. I'm curious about other teams' experiences—both to validate where we landed and to flag anything we might still be underestimating.

Our situation: 18 field technicians across two regions, moving from a mix of paper work orders and shared spreadsheets. We budgeted 6 weeks for full rollout. It took closer to 10, and I'd say we're still refining workflows that weren't fully baked in week 6.

The biggest slowdown for us wasn't the software itself—it was getting our existing customer data clean enough to import without creating a mess. We also underestimated how long it would take to train our longest-tenured techs, who had their own systems they were genuinely effective with.

What did your rollout timeline actually look like versus your plan? And what ended up being the thing that slowed you down most?

  • ours was fast but messy. 3 weeks. management wanted it done before peak season so we just. went for it. lots of phone calls from techs who couldn't find stuff in the app for the first month. probably would do it different next time but we survived

slowest part was getting everyone to actually download the app lol. kept finding people who were still using the paper backup
