Article Navigating the FieldPulse Dashboard

The FieldPulse Dashboard is the central hub for dispatchers, managers, and administrators. This article describes the layout, navigation elements, and primary functions accessible from this view.

Dashboard Layout

Upon logging in, the dashboard displays the following sections:

  • Top Navigation Bar — Contains the Search field, Notifications bell icon, and Account menu.
  • Left Sidebar — Primary navigation menu with expandable sections for Work Orders, Scheduling, Team, Customers, Inventory, and Reports.
  • Main Content Area — Displays the selected view, such as the Dispatch Board or Work Order List.
  • Right Panel (collapsible) — Contextual details and quick actions for selected items.

Left Sidebar Navigation

The sidebar organizes functionality into logical groups:

Click any menu item to expand its submenu, or click the arrow icon to collapse.

Global Search

The Search bar in the top navigation accepts queries for:

  • Work order numbers
  • Customer names or addresses
  • Technician names
  • Part numbers (when Inventory scope is selected)

Results populate in a dropdown with categorized matches. Press Enter to view full results.

Notifications and Account

The Notifications bell displays system alerts, customer notification failures, and SLA breaches. The Account menu provides access to profile settings, security options, and logout.

Customizing the Dashboard View

Dispatchers may configure which widgets appear on their dashboard. Select Customize Dashboard from the Account menu to toggle visibility of:

  • Today's schedule summary
  • Overdue work orders
  • Unassigned jobs queue
  • Technician status overview
